At the Vancouver-based Law Office of Mark Muenster in Southwest Washington, I pride myself as a litigation and appeals attorney who has successfully defended clients at the appellate court level in landmark cases. For clients seeking to appeal their felony or misdemeanor convictions, I will perform the work necessary to represent you and your rights.

Before establishing  The Law Office of Mark Muenster, I was a criminal law attorney with the Washington Appellate Defender Association (WADA). Working there gave me much of the experience in researching, writing, and litigating appeals that provided a solid foundation for the success I enjoy today. I have been one of the attorneys of record in more than 60 precedential cases in the Washington Supreme Court and Washington Court of Appeals, and attorney of record in many others that did not establish a new precedent.

My favorite landmark case is State v. Gunwall, which dealt with privacy and search and seizure issues. It established the principle that Washington citizens have more protection from unreasonable searches and seizures under our state constitution than they could get from the 4th amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I have appeared before the Washington State Supreme Court and both Division 1 (Seattle) and Division 2 (Tacoma) of the Washington Court of Appeals, including work on two death penalty cases. I have also done appellate work in the 9th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals.

As your attorney, I will put my 30+ years of experience to work with you if you are looking to appeal a conviction. For more information or to schedule an appointment regarding a criminal defense matter or an appeals hearing with an experienced litigation and appeals attorney, please  contact me.
